Anglo-Saxon Day - Year 4

On Anglo-Saxon day, year 4 joined settlements to prepare for the Viking invasion. They worked in their settlements to create swords and shields, runes and candles to light the way. In the afternoon, the children sat around the camp fire to tell the story of Beowulf, whilst drinking hot apple juice and toasting bread. Rumours spread that the Vikings may have already invaded.
